Kurt Free – Mid-West and Northeast Regions
Kurt Free started his RV career while still in high school, doing inside sales for LaVanture Distribution. After receiving his BBA from Western Michigan University he came back to the industry and has held roles from salesperson to sales manager in distributors such as MHS and NTP Distribution.
He has always emphasized education as a primary component to dealer success. Whether it is assisting them to layout their store and merchandise effectively or helping them with inventory control measures, it has always been about making the dealer successful and profitable.
Education is critical to launching new products, and Kurt doesn’t want to just tell a dealer about a new accessory, but also wants to help them come up with the best way to move that product through their store.
He can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (574) 322-1276.
Scott Wirkler – South Central Region (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas & Louisiana)
Scott is an 18 industry veteran who has gained valuable insight into all aspects of the RV industry. He really enjoys and understands the RV industry. Scott is a firm believer of product training at all levels of the dealership. He also knows how effective a properly merchandised store can increase sales and dealers profits. “Having product in stock is a good thing but you want the product to turn, not collect dust on the shelf”, is a formula Scott tries to instill in dealers. Having that right product mix and displayed in an enticing way to get the consumer to purchase is critical for increasing turns thus increasing profits. Scott holds a degree from UTA with a BA Advertising and a Minor in Business Management. He has served multiple terms as a board member of the TRVA and is currently serving as a member the of the TRVA show committee.

Doug Benson will be managing the states of Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming.
With thirty-five years in the industry (over 20 of which was with Coast Distribution), he has assisted dealers of all sizes and successfully helped increase sales for their parts & service departments. “Over the years I have found that product knowledge and training is one of the main keys to the success of a dealership. I like ARC’s common sense approach to imparting that knowledge. Making sure the dealer’s personnel is comfortable discussing products not only helps them sell more, but it ensures a satisfied, repeat customer.”
